"The Words Of God"

Deuteronomy 18: 15-22
I am not going to write the entire scripture found here, but the main point of Pastor Dan's sermon was whether to listen to prophets or not. Certainly we find in this scripture that God did speak to prophets and give them his word. But he warned the people that not all, so called prophets, are called of him.The people asked, how shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? answer, v.22.  When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken presumptuously: thou shall not be afraid of him.

Are we following God close enough to know when a true prophet has spoken? For this chapter in Deuteronomy v.  18. says I will raise them up a rophet
