The church service at First Christian Church was very touching this morning. The awesome sanctuary is decorated to the hilt. It almost felt like we were at Jesus' banquet. The choir, all dressed in red tops, sang several beautiful Chistmas songs. The lighting of the candles was very touching. A heart touching Christmas poem was read, along with some other inspirational readings. A good size crowd watched with great reverence as the performers so gracefully performed. The pastor gave a short sermon titled, "God looks Down." Luke 1: 47-55. He pointed out that God chose a lowly woman to bear his son, a handmaiden if you will. He did not choose the daughter of a King, or a man of high esteem, to bear His son, but the daughter of a poor man. His son was not born in the nicest room at the Inn, but was born outside where the livestock sleep. The Inn was full when Mary and Joseph tried to check in. Jesus was born in a stable and placed in a manger. He had hay for a mattress. The cows mooed while baby Jesus slept. I personally enjoyed and appreciated everyone who had a part in the service today. May God bless each and everyone of you.
God bless
