"Today Was A great Day"

We had a wonderful church service today. The congregation had to surpass 100. There was no special service planned, and it amazed me to see so many there. I truely feel like God is starting to warn all Christians of the need to move in closer to Him and to the church family. I believe we will be safe only if we are pulling together and lifting up holy hands. I see the church as an army with fighting the enemy in a forceful and undiluted manner, gearing up fastly, or surrendering without any resistance whatsoever. Anyone who has read their bible knows that this is the truth as the time goes on. Our laws are getting harder all the time for Christians to fulfill their duties commanded by God. Our ministers run the risk of getting sued if they preach too straight from the bible and make someone mad about their kind of lifestyle. More and more the churches are being forced to compromise and accept sinful acts as if it didn't no longer matter with God. The change has been coming slowly, but is agressing more virgorously each day. The empty pews of the church are a result of being fed water and bread. Everyone likes a good steak once in awhile; but instead of asking for one, they stayed home and fixed themselfs a homemade one. Now I believe people are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Christians must stick together and prepare themselves for that great and notable battle. We may not all wear our hair alike or wear the same color of shoes, but we must all recognize that only the redeemed of God and those who band together will be saved in the end.
Was our large congeration this morning due to the awaking of the sleeping giant, or was it just a coincidence?  I pray it was a wake-up call for everyone to call upon God with all their might.
God bless
M. Jean Sharp
